Tutor Training at the Railway town of Sainshand

One of the Sainshand churches

Last week from Tuesday 17 – Friday 20th May, two of our trainers took the train down to Sainshand, which lies on the Ulaanbaatar – Beijing line about 400 km to the south of the capital. Sainshand means ‘Good spring (of water)’, and it is the provincial centre of Dornogovi, or East Gobi province. Here ten people took part in a Foundation Level tutor training workshop, and eight of them were able to complete the training successfully. They came from four churches, two provincial centre churches, and two from the surrounding countryside.

Group practice

One of our trainers commented that these participants really wanted to know God more deeply, and to help others to grow too. One of the participating churches, Sainshand mission church, has the aim of equipping members to disciple others. While they were there, out trainers met with the local church leaders, and agreed to keep in touch to find out how the newly-trained tutors were getting on.
