Bible Education Seminar, ‘The Better Part’
For the first time in Mongolia, a seminar on the subject of ‘Bible Education’ has taken place. The seminar, ‘The Better Part’, organized on the initiative of Mongolia TEE, took place last Saturday, March 24th, and around three hundred people came to ‘First Church’ to participate. Those who came heard memorable teaching about the importance of a Bible Education, and the different ways that it is possible to gain one.
There were seven speakers and pastors bringing encouragement and challenge from the Word of God, and they dealt with the question of the issues that face believers in today’s society. The preachers were the Mongolia TEE Director and First Church Assistant Pastor, B. Naranbaatar; Union Bible Theological College Dean of Studies, Tumenbayar; Everlasting Dawn Church Senior Pastor, Ts. Tsetsenbaatar; House of Prayer Church Senior Pastor D. Lkhagvasuren; Union Bible Theological College teacher Ch. Amartungalag; Presbyterian Bible College Dean of Studies, J. Munkhbold, and First Church Senior Pastor, B. Munkhbaatar.
Representatives from other Bible Schools and Colleges set up displays presenting information about their work to participants.
One interesting and unusual feature of the day were the refreshments on sale during the intervals and the lunch break: the students in the Mongolia TEE evening classes prepared food with a view to raising money for the Mongolia TEE Building Fund. There was also an offering taken for the same purpose – thank you, all who gave!
Many people thought that this first seminar on Bible Education was really worthwhile and interesting, and there are now plans to make it an annual event.
