Eastern Provinces Tour, January 12 -16
Each year, the Mongolia TEE team aim to visit each major area of Mongolia at least once, and from January 16 – 21, it was the turn of the Eastern provinces, or aimags. The Mongolia TEE Director, B. Naranbaatar and the Eastern aimags coordinator, Ts. Tuvshintugs travelled together on this trip. The journey saw the two staff travelling from the capital out to Baganuur, and then on to Berkh in Khentii province, Bayantsogt in Sukhbaatar province, Choibalsan in Dornod province, and back to the capital via Baruun-Urt in Sukhbaatar province and Umnudelger in Khentii province.
As well as meeting with church leaders in the areas, this trip provided the chance to meet with the TEE coordinators, facilitators, and students, to hear their thoughts, to see how the groups were doing, and to exchange news and views.
As a result of the trip, local churches in Baganuur and Dornod province have decided to work together to run groups studying the Certificate in Christian Ministry program. We hope that as a result, the Certificate groups will be more effective and fruitful in these areas.
